David’s new role will focus on growing our presence and brand awareness across adviser networks, which approximately accounts for around 65% of business in the protection market.
David shares, “National Friendly’s on an exciting journey. The team is genuinely looking at what the market needs and designing products that reflect real life – like non-underwritten options. It’s a refreshing, innovative approach that’s not just talked about – it’s happening.”
First impressions that count
When asked about his first few weeks, David was full of praise for the team and our culture: “There’s a real sense of inclusivity here. It’s a culture of asking ‘why not?’ instead of saying ‘we’ve always done it like this’. Everyone’s proactive and open-minded – it’s energising to be around.”
Looking ahead
David’s most looking forward to getting stuck in, meeting more advisers, joining more panels, and helping more people get access to protection.
“The more people I speak to, the more they agree with what we’re doing. We’ve got a real opportunity to make insurance more accessible and do it with a smile. That’s something I’m excited to be part of.”
