Sales Executive
Full time (35 hrs/wk)

We are National Friendly. Our Sales Team doesn’t just sell insurance and savings products, it invites customers to become members of our Society. As a mutual insurance company with a history of over 150 years of helping people cope at challenging times in their lives, our customers become members of our Society, some of them for many, many years. So when we are selling them products, it feels a bit like we are inviting them to become part of our friends and family.
Our Sales Team sells our own financial products to individuals looking to protect themselves and their families. We don’t do big call centres and impersonal surroundings. There’s no cold calling or pushy, impossible targets.
What we do have is a small, friendly team of people looking to have personable, helpful and effective calls with people who have already expressed an interest in our products. We invest heavily in training, making sure you understand our products and we continue to develop you – within our sales team or, for some people, beyond into other parts of our business. We always want to encourage you to develop your career.
As a business we are at an exciting point in our development, with plans to expand and new products being launched. We are proud of our heritage but we are forward thinking and excited about the future.
We are now looking for someone with good sales skills to join our team. Ideally you will have some experience of selling (in any sector) but if you are confident and have the right attitude we will consider candidates with no experience. You’ll need to be trustworthy, reliable, diligent and good at helping people to reach a decision. You’ll also need some basic office and IT skills including organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
