The Trussell Trust operates a network of food banks across the UK to provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.

Between 1 April 2022 and 30 September 2022, food banks in their network distributed 1.3 million food parcels to people facing hardship.

As a friendly society, we have 155 years of experience helping the communities around us through difficult times. That's why we've chosen to support this worthy cause by donating £2,000 to the Trussell Trust during a period of unprecedented need.

This donation will help provide:

  • Emergency food – food banks in their network can reach more people
  • Expert advice – it funds advisers who can help someone save £1,500 on average
  • Hardship Helpline – helps keep their helpline running for people in financial crisis
  • No more foodbanks – helps them campaign for a future where food banks aren’t needed
