National Friendly strengthens broker team with new hire
'National Friendly, the mutual health insurance specialist, has strengthened its broker team with the appointment of Isabelle Garnier to the newly created role of broker sales support administrator. Isabelle will be based in the society’s Bristol headquarters.
Isabelle brings over 14 years’ experience of the insurance industry, having worked across claims management, sales support and broking. Prior to joining National Friendly, Isabelle worked as an underwriter for AXA PPP. Isabelle comments, “The broker sector is important for National Friendly and I look forward to using my experience and knowledge of the industry to help the society go from strength to strength.”
Head of sales and marketing at National Friendly, Wayne Carter notes, “Isabelle has joined at an exciting time, as we build sales across our insurance portfolios via our broker partners. Her role will be pivotal in supporting National Friendly to help people prepare for life’s uncertainties; a value held dear to the society today, as much as it was 150 years ago when it was born.”
In 1868 National Friendly was formed on the principle of helping people to prepare for contingencies by joining a fully protected friendly society. By setting aside a weekly amount, one could be assured of a useful sum of money to help tide over a difficult time. The society’s modern products are designed to enable its members to look after both themselves and their families. Being completely member-owned, National Friendly reinvests profits in improving member benefits and services, instead of paying dividends to shareholders.'
